Did you know that recurring headaches are often the result of tightness in the muscles of the neck? These muscles are very prone to becomimg unbalanced and dysfunctional as they attempt to overcompensate for the ubiquitous forward posture in which the head is held when working at a computer, tablet, using a cell phone, or even simply just reading or writing at a desk for prolonged periods of time (we are always looking down). Over time, these muscles develop knots and trigger points which, left untreated, can lead to refferring pain in various parts of the head. The good news is that, through regular massage therapy treatments, these knots and trigger points can be released and eliminate the headaches that were being caused by them.
